There are many horror stories of online dating scams and innocent people being tricked out of sending hundreds or even thousands of pounds to people they thought they were in a relationship with. Strangers, misrepresenting themselves is a real danger when online dating, so follow any safety given and always tell somebody where you are meeting your new date and choose a public place.
